In this role, you're not just fixing equipment-you're delivering safety, comfort, and peace of mind. If you take pride in your craft, value customer relationships, and want to grow your technical skills, we want to hear from you.What You'll Doinstall, troubleshoot, and repair propane and/or oil heating systems in accordance with applicable codes and safety regulations.Perform system tune-ups, efficiency tests, and preventive maintenance.Reduce call-backs by delivering accurate, high-quality work.Provide courteous, timely service while maintaining a clean uniform, organized work habits, and a professional appearance.Advise customers on products, services, and options that best meet their needs.Keep your service vehicle neat, safe, and fully stocked; track parts inventories and record labor and materials promptly.Participate in night and weekend on-call rotations.Perform propane Gas-Check inspections (Propane Technicians).Report any accidents, spills, or liability issues immediately.Support teammates and complete other assigned duties as needed.What You BringEducation:High school diploma or equivalent required.Technical school training is preferred.Experience:We hire at multiple technician levels:Apprentice: Completed oil burner training or CETP programJourneyman: At least one year of relevant oil and/or propane service experienceMaster: Two+ years of relevant oil and/or propane service experienceSkills & Attributes:Dependability and a strong commitment to customer serviceAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong problem-solving skills and sound judgmentProfessional integrity and understanding of our Brand Promise, Guarantees & PledgesEffective communication skills with customers, co-workers, and suppliersLicensing & Certifications:Apprentice, Journeyman, or Master designation (where state-required)CETP certification for propane techniciansValid driver's license that meets company standardsAbility to pass a pre-employment physicalTools & Technology:You'll use a wide range of industry-related tools and equipment, such as:Hand tools, power tools, soldering torch, threading equipment, and diagnostic/testing instruments.Work Environment:Work settings vary: homes, commercial spaces, basements, crawlspaces, and outdoorsOccasional cramped or low-clearance environmentsExposure to petroleum products and fumesTemperatures range from below zero to over 90°F depending on seasonWhy Join Bourne's Energy?You'll be part of a respected, safety-driven team known for professionalism, integrity, and exceptional customer care.
