Job Description:Pay Range: $22hr - $25hr The Help Desk Support Specialist will provide first-level support for help desk and security incidents, ensuring timely and accurate issue resolution. The role requires strong communication, analytical, and multitasking abilities to support users of the Statewide Financial System (SFS). Training will be provided on-site to familiarize the candidate with system navigation, tools, and processes. Responsibilities: Provide first-level support for help desk and security incidents. Answer incoming calls and email messages from users. Accurately document all issues and requests during the initial contact. Analyze user issues using system knowledge and available knowledge base resources. Establish and maintain a working knowledge of the Statewide Financial System (SFS) navigation, procedures, and processing requirements. Support users with navigation, access, and reporting issues. Route unresolved issues to the appropriate second-level support when necessary. Coordinate schedule with Help Desk supervisor to ensure coverage during business hours. Utilize Help Desk tools and software to assist users. Participate in training, workgroups, and agency meetings. Skills: Strong knowledge of MS Windows, MS Outlook, and MS Office, particularly Excel and Word. Knowledge of basic accounting principles. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work well with others and demonstrate reliability and trustworthiness. Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities. MS SharePoint knowledge is desirable. Ability to write clear, non-technical correspondence. Experience with ServiceNow or other ticket/case management software is a plus. Ability to run SQL scripts or queries is a plus. Qualification And Education: High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred. Degree in Computer Science or a related field is desirable.
