Fleet Manager*This is a US Corporate position located at our Charlotte, NC office.Position Overview :The Fleet Manager is responsible for managing operations, maintenance, and optimization of our vehicle fleet. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation that supports our business goals.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to) :Manage the acquisition, registration, and disposal of fleet vehicles;Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and repairs;Monitor fuel usage, vehicle performance, and driver behavior;Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards;Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures;Use data to optimize fleet costs, fuel use, and asset utilization;Coordinate with vendors for vehicle servicing, parts, and leasing;Maintain accurate records of inspections, licenses, and insurance;Analyze fleet data to improve efficiency and reduce costs;Recruit, train, and supervise drivers and support staff;Ensure DOT, EPA, and local transport laws are followed;Prepare reports for senior management on fleet performance and budgeting.Required Skills and Abilities :Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, DOT regulations, and safety compliance;Proficiency in fleet management software and GPS tracking systems;Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills;Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities under pressure.Education and Experience :Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred);3-5 years of experience in fleet management or transportation operations.Supervisory Responsibilities :This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment :Office-based with occasional site visits;May require availability outside standard hours for emergencies or operational needs.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work :This is a full-time, salaried exempt position with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week;Travel may be required to meet immediate business demands.Travel :Ability to travel 15% or more of the time;Availability to travel on short notice to meet immediate business needs may be required.Security Clearance :Must be able to pass pre-employment background check.Other Duties :This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
