BioTalent is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a leading global CDMO who have been supporting top pharmaceutical and biotech companies for over 25 years. The organization operates multiple R&D and manufacturing sites globally and is known for its technical excellence and regulatory strength.We are seeking a Business Development Director to join the US team, focused on expanding client relationships and driving growth across the West Coast territory. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle and a proven track record in CDMO/CRO business development.Key Responsibilities:Represent and articulate the company's platform technologies and capabilities to prospective clients.Lead and support proposal generation, RFIs/RFPs, contract negotiations (MSAs), and provide customer insights to internal stakeholders.Execute strategic BD initiatives to identify and engage new clients through market analysis and networking.Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, aligning with their long-term manufacturing strategies.Attend industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote brand awareness and capabilities.Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and develop tailored business solutions. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences required; advanced degrees (MBA, MS, PhD) preferred.5 years of BD/sales experience within CDMO/CRO, pharma, biotech, or related healthcare sectors.Familiarity with drug development processes, proposal creation, budgeting, and timeline management.Ability to support emerging biotech clients with flexible, value-driven solutions.Strong aptitude for learning technical and scientific concepts.Strong preference for a background within small molecules, ADCs, peptides, or oligonucleotides.
