Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine Join a team dedicated to serving our nation's veterans This position offers a unique opportunity to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country. You'll enjoy working in a supportive environment focused on delivering exceptional care in the heart of Houston, New Mexico. Job Responsibilities: Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments. Perform primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. Collaborate with veterans and their families to ensure their needs are being met. Complete required administrative work related to exams and submit reports as needed. Work on a flexible PRN basis, with options for half-day or full-day shifts. Qualifications: Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular health. Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products). AANP Certification required. Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New Mexico. Willingness to complete DMA training for certification. Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine is preferred. License and Certification Requirements: Active Nurse Practitioner license in New Mexico.
