Join Our Team as a Surgical Technologist I We are looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist to support our incredible Operating Room team. This role is crucial in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring efficient surgical processes. Location: Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215 Shift: Full-time, 2nd Shift, 40 hours per week with evening and on-call responsibilities. Compensation: The pay range for this position is $26.10 - $39.15 per hour, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and an additional $2,000 sign-on bonus for PM shifts available to qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities: Create a clean and efficient workspace that promotes optimal patient care by preparing materials, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures. Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment, anticipate the surgeons' needs, and ensure a smooth workflow during surgeries. Assist in various procedures, demonstrating knowledge across a range of surgical specialties. Handle patient positioning and transportation with care and precision. Participate as a second assistant when necessary and promptly address any equipment or supply issues. Qualifications: Completion of an accredited program in Surgical Technology. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of hire. Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and equipment used in surgical settings. Excellent interpersonal skills and basic computer proficiency. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull with 30 lbs. of force, and perform various physical activities throughout the shift. Protective gear is required, and candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
