Project Manager, Environmental Services

EDR is seeking a versatile, team-oriented Project Manager candidates to join our Environmental Services Group in the Mid-West Region.
Qualified Project Managers Will Have:
- At least 10 years of experience in environmental resource studies, impact analysis, and permitting with an understanding of various state and local permitting regulations and requirements in Mid-West states (Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois).
- A solid understanding of permitting processes with agencies such as the Ohio Power Siting Board, Kentucky Electric Generation and Transmission Siting Board, Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy, Indiana Department of Environmental Management, Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, and other related agencies.
- Experience with relevant federal permitting requirements such as wetland regulations, threatened and endangered species regulations, and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) is preferred.
This position requires:
- Strong technical writing and editing skills, and strong written and oral communication abilities.
- Proficient project management skills, which may include but are not limited to:
- overseeing and directing the production of resource studies and permit applications
- coordination with and delegation of tasks to internal interdisciplinary staff
- effective QA/QC of deliverables
- consultation with clients, permitting attorneys, and regulatory agency personnel
- development and management of budgets and schedules
- participation in business development activities such as responding to client requests for information or proposals.
- An ability to represent EDR technically and professionally at project-specific meetings and professional conferences.
- A minimum BS degree in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, or related field.
The anticipated
base pay range of $85,000-$110,000 per year
is commensurate with experience. EDR reserves the right to pay outside of the target range based on an individual's education, credentials, skill level and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity, geographic location, and business needs.

Our experience on these projects, along with many other ongoing/active projects, incorporates all aspects of environmental impact analysis and permitting, which includes preparation of environmental impact statements and siting board applications in addition to various support studies and permit applications.
