We're seeking a skilled and passionate front-end web developer to join our collaborative Fort Lauderdale team. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in hand-coding clean, efficient websites from the ground up,no reliance on page builders, themes, or heavy plugin dependencies.

Our work focuses primarily on custom website development (not web applications), where every project starts with a blank canvas. We value developers who understand the fundamentals deeply and can craft elegant solutions without shortcuts.

This is an in-office position working alongside a close-knit team. We are not considering remote workers or freelancers.

What You'll Do

  • Develop custom, responsive websites using modern web standards
  • Build and maintain WordPress sites with custom theme development
  • Write clean, semantic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Collaborate closely with our team on projects from concept to launch
  • Translate design concepts into functional, pixel-perfect web experiences
  • Maintain and enhance existing client websites
  • Troubleshoot and optimize site performance

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of professional front-end development experience
  • Expert-level proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
  • Strong JavaScript/ECMAScript skills (vanilla JS and modern frameworks)
  • Solid experience with WordPress custom theme development and architecture
  • Competency with PHP, particularly WordPress development and custom shortcodes
  • Proficiency with CSS preprocessors (Sass, LESS, etc.)
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and web standards
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset

Bonus Skills (Not Required, But Valued)

  • Design capabilities and experience with UI/UX principles
  • Experience with Shopify theme development
  • Version control with Git
  • Knowledge of CSS Flexbox and Grid
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices
  • Video editing and social media content experience
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, etc.)

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Standard business hours

Requirements

  • MUST currently reside in Broward County or South Florida area - LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY
  • Must be available for full-time, in-office work (no remote or hybrid options to start)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Portfolio of live work samples required with application
