This particular position is responsible for managing the State of Georgia territory. Due to customer locations and travel requirements, candidates must be able to reside within the territory and travel regularly (daily, weekly, monthly depending on business needs) to customer sites. Candidates residing in the Metro Atlanta area may find this location convenient for required travel.

The listed salary range does not include the discretionary performance bonus, targeted at 25% of base salary and paid semi-annually based on individual results.

JOB SUMMARY

The Territory Sales Manager (TM) is responsible for driving sales growth and strengthening customer relationships within the assigned geographic territory. This position requires a highly consultative approach – working closely with lift truck dealers, OEMs, and end-user customers to understand their specific material handling applications, operational challenges and goals, and recommending the optimal material handling load engagement device solutions to improve customers' productivity, operational efficiency and safety.

In addition to sales responsibilities, the TM provides basic technical support and troubleshooting assistance for attachment-related issues in the field. This includes identifying common installation or operational problems, guiding customers through initial diagnostics, and coordinating with internal technical or service teams to ensure timely resolution.

Beyond the day-to-day selling activities, the TM serves as the voice of the customer, identifying emerging market needs, product feature requests and technology trends. By communicating these insights to internal teams (such as engineering design and manufacturing), the TM helps shape future product innovations and support Cascade's continued leadership in the forklift attachment industry.

This is an exempt, individual contributor role with no direct reports; however, collaboration across teams is essential. The position requires initiative, self-motivation, and a results-oriented mindset to drive individual performance and sales for Cascade. The role works in partnership with other TMs, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations to achieve shared goals.

Success in this role depends on the ability to work independently, demonstrate a strong commitment to sales and relationship development, and apply solid technical aptitude to understand and promote Cascade's products and solutions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • In partnership with the Regional Sales Manager, develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan for the assigned territory.
  • Establish revenue and growth targets, outline business development tactics, manage a customer visit calendar, gather competitive intelligence, and prepare business projections. Review plans quarterly and update as needed to achieve targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, OEMs, and end-user customers to achieve sales objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work to resolve customer concerns and prevent issue escalation by addressing immediate needs and identifying root causes. Recommend process improvement or product customization when appropriate.
  • Develop technical solutions tailored to customer applications and clearly communicate product benefits and performance advantages.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting assistance for attachment-related issues and coordinate with internal teams to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Conduct dealer and end-user training on Cascade products, solutions, and potential applications.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Cascade product offerings, services, pricing, processes and systems.
  • Stay informed about market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities; Proactively share insights to help Cascade maintains its market leadership position.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork, continuous improvement and achieving excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 5-10 years of relevant sales experience required, preferably in the forklift attachment, material handling, or heavy industrial equipment.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and engagement skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven ability to self-motivate, work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Exceptional relationship-management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and organizational level.
  • Demonstrated ability to react quickly to address and resolve customer requests in a professional manner.
  • Excellent mechanical technical skills including ability to measure, creating specifications, and recommending a solution that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving and negotiation skills, with strong attention to detail and follow-through in demanding situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, and other ERP/CRM systems and platforms such as JDE.
  • Ability to travel extensively (primarily by automobile) within the assigned territory, with occasional domestic and/or international air travels a possibility.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record (the role involves driving a company vehicle).
  • Must have a responsible financial history, as the position may involve handling company/customer funds.
