primary functions:

Support the overall growth of the commercial services department and perform key functions in the daily operations for the commercial services area. Assist management with analysis of member demographic information for the development and implementation of pricing, planning, and strategy in the areas of business accounts, products, and services.

responsibilities:

  • Serve as a resource and business account expert for the branches in Business and Commercial Credit Union policies, procedures, and services. Assist business members with complex servicing issues including set-up and maintenance of business accounts and loans.

  • Analyze demographic data concerning members and potential members, products and services, and potential products and services. Provide data and analysis to assist with target marketing efforts and strategies of the credit union.

  • Work with and support the Commercial lending consultants and business bankers by opening and maintaining deposit relationships with new and existing business members.

  • Assist with the gathering of financial and general business information from prospects and existing members.

  • Recommend enhancements to the business development plan to improve the overall member experience.

  • Provide assistance to branch and call center staff related to business products and services to ensure they are positioned to serve their respective business member base.

  • Act as a liaison with commercial lending consultants, business bankers and branch staff during the referral process to assure a timely and seamless process for the member.

  • Coordinate the Commercial Services team meetings, prepare appropriate agenda items to be reviewed, and prepare minutes of the meeting.

  • Assist with the communication of account information, loan terms and conditions to members in a professional and courteous manner by completing the appropriate documents and providing to the Business Development Consultant. Service existing business members through incoming calls and/or necessary follow up calls.

  • Review the loan documentation for completeness, setup loan closing with the member and arrange for the appropriate loan disbursements. Review the completed loan files to include compliance review of documentation in accordance with business loan policy.

  • Manage time effectively to assist with tracking of established sales goals. Coordinate the preparation of activity reports weekly/monthly.

  • Follow-up to make sure the appropriate insurance policies are obtained. Monitor a tickler system or reports for hazard insurance, rate changes, UCC filings, annual reviews and loan maturities.

  • Assure the highest standards for member satisfaction through the timely resolution of member service issues, complaints and problems, as well as loan applications.

  • Contribute to efficient credit union operations by performing other related duties as assigned.

  • Comply with all federal regulations, credit union policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy and the USA Patriot Act.

  • Perform job duties in accordance with the Credit Union's values, mission and vision.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

minimum requirements:

  • College degree or equivalent educational and work experience

  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years credit union/banking experience with a thorough knowledge of the credit union's products and services.

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills

  • Present a positive and professional image through courteous and effective verbal and written communications.

  • Strong PC and database management skills including Word and Excel applications.
