JOB SUMMARY

Belle Meade Country Club is a private 18-hole golf course and premier club property, featuring meticulously maintained landscapes, annual floral displays, and curated outdoor spaces that enhance the overall member and guest experience. The Landscape Team plays a vital role in ensuring the club grounds, gardens, and seasonal plantings reflect the highest standard of beauty and design.

We are seeking an experienced landscaper to support the Landscape Superintendent in directing daily operations. This position is ideal for an experienced landscaper who is skilled in design, annuals, and overall grounds maintenance, and who can charge for projects and team members while also working hands-on.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB DUTIES:

  • Perform and oversee daily landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, mulching, weeding, mowing, and edging.
  • Assist with design, installation, and care of seasonal annuals, perennial beds, shrubs, and ornamental plantings.
  • Support irrigation monitoring, operation and basic repairs as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and visually appealing environment across the property.
  • Carry out landscape projects under the direction of the Superintendent, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Take charge of smaller projects or assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Support landscaping crew members during daily assignments
  • Communicate effectively with Superintendent regarding progress, needs, and challenges

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Experience: 5 years of professional landscaping or groundskeeping experience

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of horticulture, plant care, irrigation, and landscape installation

Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

Requirements

  • Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating landscaping equipment.
  • Familiarity with horticulture principles and practices related to plant care.
  • Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, and construction is preferred.
  • Ability to handle various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of snow plowing techniques is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license may be required for transportation of equipment between job sites.
