Job summary:
The Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding & Fulfillment is responsible for generating new business by identifying and developing relationships with prospective clients, understanding their logistics, warehousing, and fulfillment needs, and providing tailored, cost-effective solutions. This role manages the full sales cycle, from lead generation and responding to inbound inquiries to preparing accurate quotations, negotiating rates with carriers and vendors, and closing contracts. The Sales Executive maintains strong, long-term partnerships with clients and vendors, ensures compliance with company procedures and industry regulations, and meets established sales targets. Success in this position requires exceptional customer service, strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
TIME SPENT
Sales and Business Development
Identifies and pursues new sales opportunities through consistent lead follow-up, while promptly handling inbound calls and emails to provide prospective clients with accurate service and price information. Works to fully understand customer needs and requirements, ensuring that solutions are tailored to their specific logistics challenges. Prepares shipment and fulfillment quotations, clarifies any inquiries, and follows up to successfully close deals.

Customer Relationship Management
Develops and nurtures strong, long-term relationships with key clients, including negotiating and finalizing major contracts. Maintains regular communication to reinforce trust, address evolving needs, and support business growth.

Operational Execution
Organizes and manages quote requests and internal orders, prioritizing and completing them within established turnaround times. Follows detailed SOP instructions and diligently works toward achieving defined sales targets.

Solution Design and Cost Optimization
Researches route options, freight requirements, and other relevant data to identify the most cost-efficient logistics and fulfillment solutions for customers and prospects.

Vendor Management
Negotiates freight costs with carriers and agents, manages special project quotes, and ensures competitive pricing while maintaining service quality. Maintains close relationships with carriers, agents, and other service providers to secure favorable rates and ensure service reliability.

Industry and Product Knowledge
Gains and retains extensive knowledge of the freight forwarding industry, along with a detailed understanding of customer requirements, enabling the delivery of tailored, high-value solutions.

Basic Qualifications:
· Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent, plus two to five years of related experience in the freight forwarding industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
