Work Model:
This is a 100% on-site role at our Tempe office, Monday through Friday.

About The Team And Position
Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is a dynamic group of finance professionals dedicated to driving strategic decision-making and optimizing financial performance across the organization. We use data-driven insights to forecast and manage financial resources, supporting Carvana's auto auction subsidiary, ADESA. Your work will enhance speed, cost, and quality across our nation-wide portfolio. By leveraging our proven strategies and collaborating with our internal network of trailblazers, you'll drive process improvements, attract buyers and sellers, and optimize vehicle inspection and reconditioning processes.

We're looking to hire a motivated and high-energy Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst who will help provide financial support as well as accurate and timely management information to Carvana's leadership team. You will also be responsible for assisting the development and maintenance of the Financial Planning and Analysis process to collect, analyze, verify, and report financial information.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing and maintaining forecast models to support company planning and target setting.
  • Assisting in Carvana's financial planning cycles.
  • Supporting consolidation and creation of departmental reporting.
  • Internal management reporting and variance analysis support.
  • Supporting monthly business performance reviews.
  • Supporting headcount and personnel cost tracking and modeling.
  • Handling multiple projects simultaneously and working effectively in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Closely collaborating with Operations and Accounting leaders.
  • High-value ad hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Should Have

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a corporate finance environment, internship experience works, too
  • A Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling skills, together with demonstrated capabilities building financial forecasts.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-starter capabilities with strong analytical abilities and motivation to learn quickly.
  • Ability to collaborate among multiple business units.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to present data in a structured and informative way.
  • Professional and accountable work ethic.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision.

It would be great if you also had

  • Experience supporting operations teams.
  • Advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong system skills with preference towards Oracle and Tableau.
  • Proficiency with SQL.
