Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented
Collections & Billing Specialist
to join our team in Vernon Hills, IL. This role is critical to ensuring timely collections, accurate invoicing, and compliance with government requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to resolving A/R issues. Responsibilities

  • Manage collection efforts for assigned accounts within the team's portfolio.
  • Develop and implement collection strategies to achieve or exceed company financial goals.
  • Resolve A/R-related issues by anticipating, preventing, and problem-solving as needed.
  • Ensure timely follow-up and completion of cash allocation for assigned accounts.
  • Send invoices to government customers via online portals or email.
  • Complete all required government invoicing processes to ensure compliance and acceptance.
  • Collaborate with Sales to fulfill customer requests.
  • Identify factors contributing to past-due accounts and escalate issues to management and Sales when necessary.
  • Maintain and strengthen sensitive customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and foster positive internal and external partnerships.

Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to meet Federal Enclave access requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with adaptability to change.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with management support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
