Job Overview:

Greenlake is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to serve as the first full-time HR professional at a growing company in the upstream oil and gas sector. This role will have a broad range of responsibilities, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and fleet management, and will be asked to establish and standardize key HR processes. This position will report to the Vice President—Business Development and Legal.

Key Responsibilities and Characteristics:


• Manage recruiting process for field and office roles, including creating job descriptions, scheduling interviews, gathering feedback, liaising with candidates, and preparing offer letters


• Standardize and manage onboarding and orientation for new hires


• Work with company managers to identify hiring needs and forecast staffing requirements


• Serve as primary point of contact for employee questions and feedback


• Manage corporate fleet, including procurement of company vehicles, maintaining driver records, and liaising with insurance providers


• Work with managers to identify and implement training requirements for each department

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree


• Minimum of 3-10 years of HR experience, ideally with some time in a generalist role


• Background in oil and gas, construction, or industrial operations is beneficial, but not required


• Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills

Additional Details:

Applicant to reside in Austin, Texas with periodic travel to West Texas. Relocation is not available for this position. Greenlake has a hybrid in-office work schedule, with 3+ fixed days in-office each week. Fully remote work schedule is not available.
