The Human Resources Manager is responsible for attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent through creative sourcing strategies, effective candidate management, and thoughtful onboarding. This role oversees all aspects of the hiring process, maintains HR systems and records, ensures compliance with employment regulations, and supports the company's EEO initiatives.

The ideal candidate for the Human Resources Manager position will be experienced in all areas of Human Resources, with a strong focus on talent acquisition and colleague experience. This individual demonstrates excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with a caring and approachable demeanor that reflects the Miraval and Hyatt brands.

In the absence of the Director and Assistant Director of Human Resources, this position will confidently oversee daily HR operations and continue fostering a caring, inclusive, and high-performing environment that embodies Miraval's mission of Life in Balance.

Additional Responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with leadership team to develop staffing strategies for filling open positions quickly and efficiently.
  • Become knowledgeable in the successful utilization of various recruiting methodologies, e.g. Applicant tracking system database, employee referrals, internal job posting, industry referrals, networking, and personally leveraging those resources when recruiting.
  • Connect with prospective candidates through networking, internet research and sourcing, internal/external sourcing, career fairs, and on-campus recruiting.
  • Where necessary, recruit candidates utilizing sources such as LinkedIn and other social networking sites.

  • Completes new hire paperwork with all new hires and completes I-9 process

  • Facilitates trainings for new hires and current colleagues.

  • Assists with coaching and counseling conversations to ensure our colleagues behaviors continue to align with Hyatt's values

  • Other projects and duties as required/assigned.

Qualifications

  • Hyatt Human Resources experience and/or experience in staffing for hospitality positions is preferred
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A minimum of two (2) years Human Resource Management experience
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills required
  • Knowledge of Hyatt's staffing levels and leadership structure preferred
  • Experience sourcing and qualifying a large volume of candidates
  • Experience in, or knowledge of, Taleo is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of technology (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word)
  • Worked in a team environment that emphasized group contributions
  • Knowledge of relevant HR laws including OFCCP and EEOC
  • Exceptional work ethic
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization and to develop strong relationships
  • Spanish- verbal and written ability preferred
