Meeting and Group Travel Consultant

About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Meetings & Group Travel Consultant to manage and fulfill group travel requests for our clients, including church, school, mission, and corporate groups. This role will also support our corporate and meetings team as needed, providing backup for bookings and consultation.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing group air blocks (10+ passengers), working directly with airline group desks, and coordinating complex travel logistics. Sabre GDS experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Handle all travel logistics related to group trips, meetings, and events—including research, quoting, and managing group and individual flight arrangements.
- Provide expert consultation and recommendations to meet and exceed client expectations.
- Source and negotiate accommodations, air blocks, and other group components.
- Work directly with airline group desks to manage contracts, ticketing, and fare compliance.
- Manage group manifests, changes, and attrition.
- Create and update reservations using the Sabre GDS, applying custom billing and project codes.
- Serve as backup support for the corporate and meetings team when needed.
- Build strong relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure smooth coordination and optimal value.
- Ensure accurate invoicing, reconciliation, and delivery of travel documents.
- Maintain Uniglobe's high standards of communication, service quality, and professionalism.
Requirements
- Sabre GDS experience required.
- Proven experience with Group Air (10+ passenger blocks) and Meetings/Event travel.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to evolving client needs.
Preferred Experience
- Background in corporate, government, or mission/school group travel.
- Experience sourcing group hotels, room blocks, and event logistics (A/V, catering, etc.) is a plus.
