We are currently seeking a Phlebotomy Team Lead to join our team. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

PST's may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30 pm with rotating Saturdays
Work Location: Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Plantation, FL

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage and travel to various sites to perform phlebotomy job duties
- Assist in the supervision of a team of phlebotomists covering multiple Patient Service Centers & client sites
- Observe new employee performance and report observations to the supervisor
- Perform site inspections on a regular basis and accurately report all findings
- Provide continuous training to phlebotomy staff as directed
- Complete new hire and annual competency assessments when necessary
- Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs
- Address any customer service related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
- Review daily/weekly schedule with supervisor and making schedule adjustments as needed
- Promote team work, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers
- Perform all duties of a phlebotomist and site coordinator as needed
Job Requirements:
In order to ensure the safety of our patients, this position requires as part of the post-offer onboarding process, successful completion of medical surveillance testing which includes: TB testing; proof of immunity or vaccination for Hepatitis B, Varicella, and MMR; and color blind deficiency testing (if required by position). - High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist is required
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation required
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
