Job Description
The Enterprise IT Lead Specialist Engineer will be responsible for leading enterprise-level technology initiatives, managing large-scale IT infrastructure environments, and driving modernization and optimization projects across the organization. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership abilities, and experience overseeing cross-functional IT engineering teams. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with enterprise systems, cloud platforms, cybersecurity standards, and end-to-end IT service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage enterprise IT engineering initiatives including infrastructure upgrades, system integrations, and technology transformation programs.
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable IT architectures to support business growth and performance.
- Oversee administration of core enterprise systems including servers, storage, networks, virtualization, and cloud environments.
- Drive incident, problem, and change management processes to maintain high availability and system reliability.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure adherence to compliance, governance, and cybersecurity standards.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams and project stakeholders.
- Conduct capacity planning, system performance tuning, and infrastructure monitoring.
- Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and evaluation of new technologies and tools.
- Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, disaster recovery plans, and operational procedures.
- Participate in budgeting and planning for enterprise IT investments and resource allocation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of experience in enterprise IT engineering, infrastructure management, or related technology leadership roles.
- Strong experience in enterprise networking, server administration, virtualization, storage platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
- Expertise in Microsoft, Linux, VMware, Cisco, and multi-cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proven track record leading large-scale IT implementations and transformation projects.
- Experience with ITIL framework and managing service delivery processes.
- Strong understanding of system security, identity management, and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automation tools, scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash), and infrastructure as code.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools (Splunk, Datadog, SolarWinds, etc.).
- Previous experience in a leadership capacity within large enterprise or multi-site environments.
- Relevant professional certifications such as AWS/Azure Architect, CCNP/CCIE, VMware VCP, ITIL Expert, or CISSP.
