The Opportunity:

As we scale, we're looking for a forward-thinking, hands-on Financial Controller to take our financial operations to the next level. Reporting to the executive team, you will lead our accounting and finance functions with a strong focus on inventory management, cost control and financial strategy. This is a key leadership role in a high-growth environment, perfect for someone who thrives on building systems and driving performance.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the full accounting cycle, ensuring timely, GAAP-compliant monthly closes
  • Produce accurate financial reports and provide insights to guide executive decision-making
  • Oversee multi-state payroll, tax compliance, AP/AR, expense processing, and cash control
  • Manage inventory reporting and optimize procurement processes
  • Develop cash flow models, manage treasury functions, and lead budgeting
  • Create and track meaningful KPIs to drive operational excellence
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations
  • Drive process improvements and support strategic projects across the company

What You Bring:

We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented leader who can blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA certification strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership
  • At least 3 years of inventory management experience
  • Previous experience with apparel or consumer products
  • Experience with multi-state payroll and tax compliance
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial systems
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and ethical decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to lead transformation and scale financial systems
