Accounting & Financial Management

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (A/R, A/P, bank reconciliations, journal entries).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements across multiple entities.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, ensuring liquidity and proper capital allocation across entities.
  • Oversee cost accounting for produce inventory, freight, warehouse, and labor.
  • Support annual budgeting and rolling forecasts; monitor budget vs. actual performance.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Deliver monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports by entity and consolidated.
  • Analyze margins, cost drivers, and operating expenses to identify efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to set financial KPIs and monitor performance metrics.
  • Prepare management dashboards and reports for strategic planning.

Compliance & Audit

  • Coordinate with external CPA firms for tax filings, financial reviews, and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, PACA, Blue Book, and industry-specific financial standards.
  • Maintain clean books for all entities and ensure separation of intercompany transactions.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks Online / Silo) for automation and scalability.
  • Implement standardized workflows for billing, collections, and vendor payments.
  • Support integration of financial systems with operations, sales, and logistics.

Leadership

  • Supervise accounting staff and provide training for best practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and warehouse teams.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to ownership, providing financial insight and recommendations.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $100, $150,000.00 per year
