What you'll do

  • Conduct thorough interviews with clients to gather essential information regarding their personal injury cases.
  • Manage incoming calls and inquiries, providing excellent phone etiquette and ensuring all client needs are addressed promptly.
  • Utilize legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to assist in case preparation and documentation.
  • Maintain organized case files using document management systems and ensure accurate data entry for all client interactions.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to prepare necessary documentation for litigation processes, including legal drafting and proofreading.
  • Review documents for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist in project management tasks related to case timelines, deadlines, and client follow-ups.
  • Stay updated on personal injury law trends and regulations to provide informed support to clients.

Basic qualifications

  • Proven experience in a law office environment, preferably with a focus on personal injury law or related fields.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in legal writing and transcription.

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with various areas of law such as family law, immigration law, or workers' compensation law is a plus.
  • Experience using PCLaw or iManage software for case management.
  • Background in legal administrative support or paralegal experience is highly desirable.
