Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Clerical professional to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and experience in administrative support within a medical environment. As a Medical Office Clerical staff member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and providing exceptional service to patients.
Duties
- Manage patient intake processes, including the collection of personal and insurance information while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow to optimize office efficiency and enhance patient experience.
- Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Provide front desk support by answering multi-line phone systems, addressing inquiries, and assisting patients with their needs in a rotational schedule as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to manage care plans and facilitate communication between patients and clinical staff.
- Uphold high standards of customer service while fostering a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance verification processes, and health information management practices.
- Excellent typing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with 10 key typing is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
