We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality dishes to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a commitment to excellence in the food service industry, particularly in a fine dining environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and dicing using proper knife skills.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring all food safety standards are met. Know how to use and able to clean a fryer ,grill ,oven and hood.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Participate in catering events as required, adapting to various dietary needs and preferences.
  • Support the Head Chef in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Experience as a dietary aide or in catering services is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
