This position requires flexibility to travel to jobsites around metro Detroit and to other states when projects arise. Travel and/or mileage reimbursements along with per diem will be provided when applicable. When not assigned to a job site the selected candidate will report to our Pontiac, Michigan office.

Position Summary
The Account Manager will play a vital role in driving business growth and strengthening client relationships in the lower Michigan and Northern Ohio regions. This position is responsible for managing existing accounts, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction within the assigned territory.
The Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, collaborating closely with the business development, estimating, and operations teams to deliver competitive proposals and customized solutions. This role requires a proactive and results-driven professional with strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of balancing relationship management with strategic business development.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in sales or account management within the construction or related industries and will be motivated to contribute to the company's growth in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, actively engaging with prospective clients and leads.
- Collaborate with the business development and/or estimating team to compile compelling proposals, presentations, and sales materials.
- Coordinate sales activities, schedule meetings, and participate in contract negotiations.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand revenue within existing client accounts.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer feedback.
- Analyze sales data and customer insights to provide recommendations for improving sales strategies.
- Ensure contract compliance by reviewing agreements to ensure they align with company policies, regulatory standards, and client requirements.
- Monitor ongoing contracts for any deviations or potential risks and collaborate with legal and compliance teams to resolve issues.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in sales, account management, or a related role within the construction industry, or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Results-oriented mindset with a passion for sales and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Interest in the heavy machinery rigging and moving industry is a plus.
