The Associate Business Development Manager (ABDM) is embedded in the Marketing team and supports top-of-funnel growth through partnerships, community/HOA programs, and field initiatives. This role converts market awareness into qualified opportunities by building programs, relationships, and repeatable motions that expand our reach and pipeline.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Lead Pipeline & Partnership Programs

  • Responsible for quarterly pipeline targets for partner/field/HOA channels.
  • Maintain updates to partner programs (ex: First responders, teachers, realtors, etc.).
  • Contribute to library of partners assets: landing pages, email templates, one-pagers, event kits, FAQs.

Field Marketing & Events

  • Ride along and collaborate with sales to generate, refine qualification criteria and handoff of leads.
  • Manage regional events (community events, home shows, seminars, HOA meetings); attend and set goals for events.
  • Contribute to event playbooks: staffing, training, scripts, lead capture, follow-up cadences, success metrics.

Campaigns & Enablement

  • Partner with sales and within marketing team to identify, plan and rollout localized offers, case studies, and partner spotlights.
  • Maintenance of sales enablement collateral tailored to partners and community audiences.
  • Coordinate localization of partner agreements and co-branded assets.

Cross-Functional

  • Educate internal teams and partners on offers, partnerships, and partner program experiences.
  • Communicate within the marketing team on what is working, what needs improvement and new ideas on local activities and efforts.
  • Partner with sales to uncover local opportunities & corporate opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in business development, field marketing, channel/partnerships, or demand gen (B2B2C); home services, construction, or consumer durables a plus.
  • Comfortable with networking and being the local face of Storm Smart.
  • Proven track record hitting pipeline targets via partners, events, and outbound programs.
  • Comfortable with data: reporting on and understanding KPIs & OKRs.
  • Excellent communication skills (presentations, partner pitches, community meetings).
  • Hands-on experience with CRM/marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce, event apps, etc.).

Competencies:

  • Acts with an agile mindset - help design programs, document playbooks, and iterates quickly.
  • Understands relationship between activities to revenue and works to prune low-ROI efforts.
  • Aligns Sales, Marketing, and partners around shared targets.
  • Credible and comfortable in public/HOA settings.
  • Crisp execution, SLA discipline, and data-driven decisions.

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid/On-site for field events and partner meetings.
  • Typical schedule: up to two days in-office and 3 days traveling within region (events, HOA/realtor/builder visits).
  • Evenings/weekends as needed for community events.
