Title: Content Manager

Reports to: Content Director 

OVERVIEW:

The content manager works collaboratively with departments to create engaging content that aligns with brand voice and accomplishes client marketing goals across earned, owned and paid channels. This includes producing and managing content for websites, social media, paid search, digital ads, emails and video. It requires an understanding of SEO best practices, knowledge of design and online publishing tools as well as the drive to research trends independently and bring fresh content ideas to clients. This position includes some strategy development and new business support.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS:

  • Produce written content that aligns with client marketing strategies
  • Work with creative to deliver engaging visual content and developers to assess technical issues.
  • Develop content (social media, blogs, email marketing) to help ensure cohesive communications across channels
  • Contribute to annual client planning and new business opportunities, as needed
  • Assist in developing content strategies for clients 
  • Research trends to deliver fresh ideas to clients
  • Review data and analytics to optimize content performance
  • Uses various online tools to organize and publish content
  • Skilled at communication, organization and conflict management 
  • Excellent writing skills and technical capacity

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications or related field
  • Three - Six years of experience working in digital or social media marketing
  • Familiar with design programs like Photoshop and online tools including WordPress, Drupal and SEMrush
  • Expertise in food and ag industries preferred
  • Experience creating and editing videos appreciated

BENEFITS & COMPENSATION:

The pay range is $65,000 - $85,000

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications.
