Job Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong cash handling skills, basic math abilities, and the capacity to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
  • Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
  • Handle cash with precision and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
  • Upsell products and services to enhance customer experience.
  • Maintain knowledge of current promotions and store policies.
  • Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise.
  • Supervise junior staff members when required.
  • Answer phone calls professionally, providing information as needed.
  • Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in cash handling and retail sales is preferred.
  • Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to upsell products effectively to boost sales.
  • Experience supervising staff is a plus.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply for enhanced communication with diverse customers.
  • Familiarity with phone etiquette for customer interactions is beneficial.
