Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles. This role involves diagnosing and repairing complex automotive systems, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship, and maintaining the highest safety standards. Candidates with dealership experience, service technician background, or expertise in diesel engines and welding are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
  • Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, alignments, and vehicle maintenance tasks across a wide range of vehicles.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
  • Repair or replace ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) components and ensure proper calibration.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and perform necessary repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical systems.
  • Maintain detailed service records and document repair procedures accurately for each vehicle serviced.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs, estimated timeframes, and service recommendations.
  • Stay current with automotive technology trends and participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills.

Skills

  • Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and electrical systems.
  • Expertise in working with schematics, auto estimating software, and complex mechanical systems such as powertrain, transmissions, and diesel engines.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines.
  • Knowledge of automotive electrical systems including ADAS calibration and troubleshooting.
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Experience working on GM vehicles is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics for accurate repairs.
  • Maintenance experience with an emphasis on safety standards in an automotive environment.
