Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the mental and emotional well-being of individuals and families. You will provide compassionate support through various therapeutic modalities, including psychotherapy and crisis intervention. Your expertise will empower clients to navigate life's challenges, fostering resilience and promoting positive change in their lives. The Licensed independent Clinical Social Worker will be paid per patient visit, consultation, evaluation, or procedure — not on a fixed salary or hourly basis.
What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to develop tailored treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
- Implement motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client engagement and progress.
- Facilitate crisis management interventions to support clients in acute distress.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care, including working with individuals with developmental disabilities and those experiencing PTSD.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including intake forms and progress notes.
- Engage in clinical research activities, contributing to data collection and analysis for ongoing improvement of services.
- Offer specialized counseling for children, families, and individuals dealing with addiction or behavioral health issues.
Basic qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as an Independent Clinical Social Worker.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with home and community care settings.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems for efficient documentation.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding systems.
- Background in pediatrics or special education is a plus.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including geriatrics and individuals on the autism spectrum.
