Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and be skilled in various therapeutic modalities. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, conducting assessments, and implementing individualized treatment plans for clients, particularly focusing on children and families. The LCSW will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine mental health needs.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client, including those with developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction issues, and other mental health challenges.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients in their treatment process.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including intake forms, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients receiving home and community-based services.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed to support clients in acute distress.
- Engage in case management activities to ensure continuity of care for clients across various settings.
- Stay informed about current best practices in social work, behavioral health, and relevant medical terminology.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Experience with children and families is highly desirable; familiarity with pediatrics is a plus.
- Proficient in the use of EMR systems for medical documentation and patient records management.
- Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is beneficial.
- Strong skills in crisis management, behavioral therapy, and addiction counseling are essential.
- Familiarity with special education resources and geriatric care is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
