Job Summary:

A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Production Supervisor with hands-on experience in electrical control panel fabrication. The successful candidate will oversee daily production operations, lead and develop a skilled assembly team, and ensure quality, safety, and efficiency across all production activities. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership ability, and a results-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations of electrical control panel assembly.
  • Provide direct leadership to production staff, including scheduling, performance coaching, attendance tracking, and team development.
  • Ensure all work meets technical drawing specifications, safety standards, and quality control guidelines.
  • Coordinate training initiatives and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Monitor production metrics such as throughput, quality yield, and schedule adherence.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and collaborate with engineering and quality teams for resolution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, including job trackers, inspection records, and safety logs.
  • Promote and enforce workplace safety policies and lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or technical certification preferred; equivalent hands-on experience accepted.
  • Proven background in electrical control panel assembly, including layout, wiring, and testing.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with applicable industry standards (e.g., UL, NFPA, NECA).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to drive productivity and quality improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or equivalent).
  • Experience leading union or multi-shift production teams.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRPsystems.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 standards.
