Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Home Health Aide (HHA) in Queens, NY to assist clients with daily living activities, provide personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship in a safe and supportive home environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, patient, and committed to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing for clients.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Support individuals with developmental disabilities in daily activities and community engagement.
  • Administer catheter care and assist with other medical needs as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the client's living space to promote a healthy environment.
  • Document client progress and any changes in health status accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
  • Engage clients in social activities to enhance their emotional well-being.

Experience

  • Previous experience in home health care or caregiving is preferred.
  • Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is a plus.
  • Knowledge of senior care practices and long-term care protocols is beneficial.
  • Experience in medical documentation is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
  • A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients is essential.
