We're seeking a Queens Field Tech who's excited to represent RDE on the front lines—handling onsite visits for our Brooklyn clients while also collaborating with our Oceanside office and remote support team.

About the Role

This position is ideal for a Level 2 MSP Technician who's comfortable with both remote troubleshooting and in-person client visits. You'll work primarily with Brooklyn-based clients and spend office days collaborating with the wider team when not on-site.

Approximate Breakdown:

  • 10% Onsite in Queens – client visits, hardware deployments, and escalations
  • 90% In-Office (Oceanside) – remote support, maintenance, and coordination

All client travel is local to Brooklyn. Mileage and travel expenses are fully reimbursed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite and remote technical support for client networks, servers, and end-user systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows Server, Office 365, Azure AD, and Intune.
  • Perform workstation deployments, printer setups, firewall swaps, and basic network configuration.
  • Assist with server builds, imaging, and patching.
  • Support the rollout of security solutions including MFA, EDR, and backup verification.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely ticket updates in ConnectWise Manage.
  • Collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 3 engineers to ensure escalations are handled smoothly.
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience—communicative, friendly, and professional at all times.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office 365, and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with SonicWall, Fortinet, or similar firewalls preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with networking (VLANs, DHCP, DNS) and printer/Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with ConnectWise Manage / Automate, or similar RMM tools.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and client-facing skills.
  • Must have a car and valid driver's license (local travel only).

Preferred Experience

  • Microsoft or CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, or Azure Fundamentals).
  • Experience with VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
