Operations Manager Summary

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, The Operations Manager is responsible for all planning, staffing, operation, and direction of the distribution center.

Operations Manager Duties

  • Assists/supports supervisor(s) to ensure policies and procedures are being followed
  • Oversees with supervisor(s) the evaluation of all warehouse employees
  • Establishes an appropriate rapport with customers, vendors, and delivery drivers
  • Oversees accuracy of all in-bound shipments, reports discrepancies 
  • Oversees other shipping records such as returned merchandise, damage, discrepancies, etc.
  • Responsible for oversight of inventory levels with system cycle counts against physical counts
  • Provides training on processes and procedures
  • Communicates business plans and departmental goals and objectives
  • Promotes and enforce workplace safety procedures and measures for the distribution center

Operations Manager Qualifications      

  • Minimum 3-5 years warehouse management experience
  • Minimum 3 years of inventory control and SKU management experience
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Effective ability to interface with all levels within the organization
  • Moderate level of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
  • Proficiently operate a variety of powered industrial trucks
  • Ability to perform light to heavy physical tasks; able to safely lift 50 lbs. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Eclipse Warehouse Management System background
