Senior
Preconstruction Manager
to join its preconstruction team. This company is distinguished by its ability to execute critical phases of construction with its own skilled crews, a practice that enables a higher degree of control over project quality, schedule, and cost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management & Estimating
    : Develop comprehensive project budgets and detailed cost estimates. This involves analyzing plans and specifications to calculate material, labor, and subcontractor costs. They also lead value engineering efforts to find cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Risk Management
    : Identify and analyze potential project risks, such as design flaws, site constraints, or financial issues. They create a risk register and develop mitigation strategies to address potential problems before they arise.
  • Design Coordination
    : Work closely with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure the project's design is not only functional and aesthetically pleasing but also constructible and within budget.
  • Scheduling & Planning
    : Create detailed project schedules and methodologies, outlining the sequence of work and key milestones for the construction phase.
  • Contracting & Procurement
    : Assist in negotiating contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. They also oversee the bidding process and vet potential partners.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication
    : Act as the primary point of contact during the pre-construction phase, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring all parties are aligned on project goals and expectations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education
    : A bachelor's degree in
    construction management
    , civil engineering, or a related field would be ideal.
  • Experience
    : 10+ Years experience in a similar role within Construction
  • Technical Skills
    : Proficiency in project management and estimating software (like Procore or Autodesk), strong financial and mathematical aptitude, and an in-depth knowledge of construction methods and building codes.
  • Exceptional
    communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
    are essential for leading teams and managing relationships with clients, designers, and subcontractors.
  • The ability to work under pressure, solve complex problems, and pay meticulous attention to detail is also critical.
