We're Hiring: Assistant Teacher, Early Pre-K (Ages 2-4)

Salary: $16.00 – $16.50 per hour, DOE, Part-Time, nonexempt

Morning Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 12:30 pm (Part-Time, 22-23 hours per week).

OR

Afternoon Schedule: Monday through Friday 12:30 pm – 4:45 pm (Part-Time, 21-22 hours per week).

Setting: Child Enrichment Center

What You'll Do:

  • Support the lead teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment for Early Pre-K students.
  • Assist with daily routines, activities, and learning experiences that encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Provide individual attention and care to children, helping them feel secure and valued.
  • Foster a positive, respectful classroom atmosphere that supports curiosity and creativity.
  • Communicate and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support each child's growth.

What You'll Bring:

  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 1 year experience in an early childhood program such as a licensed childcare center, family or group childcare, or Head Start; OR
  • Child Development Associate credential or an associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education, or related field.
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
  • The ability to work as part of a team, take initiative, and maintain a positive attitude.
