Help Wanted: Client Service Specialist (Remote)

We are seeking a Client Service Specialist to join our team. The Client Service Specialist is responsible for managing all customer and client interactions related to subscriptions, digital access, classified advertising, and billing. This role requires a professional, detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills to manage inquiries across phone, email, and digital platforms from a dedicated home office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Handle inbound and outbound communication (phone and email) with subscribers regarding new subscriptions, renewals, delivery issues, temporary holds, and cancellations.
  • Accurately update and manage subscriber accounts within the circulation/CRM database.
  • Process payments, issue refunds, and manage billing inquiries promptly and accurately.
  • Assist clients and the general public with placing classified ads (print and online), ensuring content and payment comply with company policy.
  • Provide basic support and information to business advertisers regarding ad placements, rates, and proofs as directed by the Advertising Department.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve administrative or billing concerns for advertising clients.
  • Provide first-level technical support for subscribers experiencing issues with digital access to the Palatka Daily News website or e-Edition.
  • Guide users through login, password reset, and mobile application troubleshooting processes.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer interactions and transactions in the designated CRM/database system.
  • Adhere to a consistent work schedule and maintain a professional, high-quality level of service and availability while working fully remotely.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service, client support, or call center environment. Experience in the newspaper, media, or subscription-based industry is a strong asset.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proven experience working with a CRM and/or circulation management software.
  • Comfort with web-based platforms, live chat, and simultaneous use of multiple systems.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear, professional phone presence.
  • Exceptional written communication skills for email and digital correspondence.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to handle difficult customer interactions with patience and tact.
