Who We're Looking For:

The Accounting Specialist must possess a commitment to customer satisfaction, teamwork, attention to detail, thoroughness and have the company's best interest at heart. This role is reserved for an individual who has a high level of ethical integrity, is self-motivated, consistently shows good decision-making, and has strong communications skills, an eye for detail, and a desire to learn. This individual will operate under the leadership of the Director of Finance & HR and should exhibit professional growth to gain capacity and responsibility as an employee.

Responsibilities:

· Perform "financial close" duties by the deadlines established which includes, but is not limited to correcting all data entry errors, financial account reconciliations, loan principal/interest splits, and vendor/subcontractor statement reconciliations.

· Processing biweekly payroll by the deadline, calculating monthly commissions, entering payroll journal entries, and maintaining company and employee data in the payroll system including on boarding and off boarding employees. Assist in annual benefit open enrollment.

· Register for sales tax in states, file returns timely, and assist in sales tax audits.

· Accounts payable duties include, but are not limited to, printing checks and adding to fraud protection, ACH preparation, preparing annual 1099s, entering vendor bills & credit card receipts, entering expense reports, and setting up new vendors by obtaining W9.

· Accounts receivable duties include, but are not limited to, setting up new customers and jobs in QuickBooks, and receiving/applying customer payments. As needed, assist with entering in customer invoices, preparing pay applications, and collections.

· General administrative duties such as answering phone calls, email responses within 2 business days, request COIs, paper filing/scanning, maintain stock of office supplies, etc.

· Assist the Director of Finance & HR with special projects and various tasks as needed.

· Other duties as assigned by the Director of HR & Finance.

Job Requirements:

· Associate degree or higher in Business or Accounting.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Strong Computer Literacy.

· A minimum of 2 years' experience with QuickBooks Software.

· Ability to sit or work at a computer for prolonged periods of time.

Job Type:

· Full-time

· Monday to Friday

· This is an in-office role and not a remote position.

Pay: $60, $70,000.00 per year
