Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly talented Marketing Proposal Specialist II to join our West Specialist Team and work in collaboration with the West Region business development and operations team on pursuits, including partnering in the preparation of formal and informal client solicitations, including expressions of interest (EOI), requests for qualifications (RFQ), requests for proposals (RFP), and pre-qualification efforts.

This will be a hybrid position including a combination of both remote and in-office, that can be based in, but not limited to: Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Detroit, MI; Los Angeles, CA; and San Francisco, CA.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists with large proposals and able to lead small to medium proposals (cross regions or business lines), and supports from capture through to interview stage, as required.
  • Coordinates content and information for qualifications and proposals, including schedule, templates, compliance, content plan, and production.
  • Provides conceptual leadership for document design. Lays out proposals in InDesign and performs high-level editing. May serve as lead writer/editor for resumes and past performance sections for proposals.
  • May facilitate color review (Pink and Red team) reviews, and apply lessons learned to add value to proposals. Manages the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams.
  • Participates in go/no-go calls/meetings in compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning and positioning activities as they pertain to preparation for the proposal.
  • Completes internal debriefs for proposals they lead and reviews debriefs and reviews client feedback on proposals to ensure and demonstrate continuous improvement.
  • Has solid working knowledge of company quality procedures and approval processes (legal, contracts, DOA, signatory).
  • Liaises with appropriate/relevant business line team, operations, technical, and business development professionals to support or develop marketing information (including but not limited to case studies/project sheets and capabilities summaries).
  • Provides guidance to entry-level proposal team members.
  • Performs a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  •  BA/BS + 2 years of experience collaborating within a marketing team to lead and/or support proposal activity or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  •  A developed understanding of effective proposal and presentation writing and production.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry.
  • Detailed knowledge of marketing best practices and procedures, work processes, and tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.
  • An understanding of CRM Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Initiative, skill, and personal commitment to manage multiple projects and details concurrently, follow up, and bring tasks and projects to full completion.
  • Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with others.
  • Experience demonstrating leadership qualities.
  • Experience using AI and data analytics tools to analyze market and client trends.
