The Maintenance Coordination Specialist II serves as a key link between Operations teams executing the maintenance and reliability engineering by managing complex SAP PM data and analyzing maintenance performance trends. This role supports the creation and maintenance of FMEAs, identifies recurring equipment issues through data-driven insights, and recommends procedural improvements to enhance scheduling efficiency and reduce corrective work. The Specialist II operates with growing autonomy, translating field feedback into standardized maintenance strategies that drive operational excellence across sites.
Role Responsibilities:
- Maintain/Manage SAP PM environment
- Enter SAP notifications for single-item campaigns, including Controlled Plant Modifications and one-time inspections
- Develop and maintain SAP help guides and training materials to drive compliance with company policy
- Conduct site visits to audit adherence to standards and gather on-the-ground feedback
- Collect and upload serial equipment data for new sites
- Collect and upload serial equipment data for existing sites
- Extract maintenance records from SAP, analyze and report the findings to Operations Management
- Extract corrective maintenance records to support the creation of FMEA reports
- Assist in developing and maintaining FMEAs for equipment classes and components to support reliability-based maintenance planning
- Perform trend analysis of equipment failures and provide input to SMEs for root cause investigations
- Compare planned vs. actual maintenance execution data to identify gaps
- Track recurring minor issues and escalate trends to SMEs for review.-Contribute to KPI tracking (e.g., Mean Time Between Failures, Preventive Compliance Rate, Work Order Aging)
Job Requirements and Experiences:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Certificate or associate degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of relevant administrative experience
- Advanced training in SAP Plant Maintenance tools.
- Basic understanding of Python for automating SAP data extraction and tempalte uploads
- Advanced proficiency in SAP for creating and managing complex purchase requests
- Solid knowledge of Plant Maintenance module and vendor contract management
- Ability to generate reports from SAP for performance and compliance tracking
- Working knowledge of FMEA methodology and its role in preventive maintenance
- Develops practical expertise in renewable energy systems, including installation and maintenance.
- Capable of interpreting moderately complex electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings to assist in troubleshooting and installations
- Demonstrates competency in independently identifying hazards, applying basic procedural mitigation measures, with limited oversight
- Proactively resolve moderately complex SAP PM or vendor-related issues
- Support development of process improvements to reduce errors and delays
- Contribute to planning discussions by providing accurate system-based insights
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth timely rollout of new Maintenance Plans
- Translate site-level issues into actionable system/process changes
- Lead rollout of guidance documents with SMEs and site operators for end users
- Work with engineering teams to translate FMEA findings into actionable SAP PM strategies
- Oversee task execution by entry-level and junior assistants
- Make decisions within the scope of assigned projects and responsibilities
- Provide input for team-level planning and resource allocation
