Front Desk Clerk / Guest Service Agent – Hotel Cleo (Downtown Knoxville)

Location: Downtown Knoxville, TN

Schedule: Full-Time / Part-Time (32 Hours)

Compensation: Competitive hourly pay

About Hotel Cleo:

Hotel Cleo is a 16-room boutique hotel nestled in the heart of Downtown Knoxville. Known for its intimate charm and modern Southern elegance, our hotel provides a personalized and memorable guest experience. We're seeking friendly and dependable front desk professionals to join our small but exceptional hospitality team.

Position Overview:

As a Front Desk Clerk / Guest Service Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests — creating a warm welcome and ensuring every stay runs smoothly from check-in to check-out. You'll assist with reservations, payments, and guest requests, while maintaining the high service standards that define the Hotel Cleo brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist guests with check-ins, check-outs, and reservations
  • Provide exceptional guest service in person and over the phone
  • Handle payments, room keys, and billing accurately
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness
  • Offer recommendations for local dining, events, and attractions
  • Manage guest concerns with professionalism and follow up to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area

Qualifications:

  • Previous hotel, front desk, or customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Basic computer knowledge; PMS training provided
  • Must be reliable and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
