What We Need:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to join our team. The QA Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the quality assurance and control processes, ensuring that all aerospace components, products and systems meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems of the company through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Ongoing management and oversight of our QMS which consists of ISO9001 and AS9100D.
  • Develop and maintain standardized production, quality, and customer-service standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Perform detailed inspection of manufactured and purchased components and document results accordingly.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action
  • Perform internal and external quality audits, compile detailed reports of findings, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to senior management, highlighting key quality issues and improvement plans.
  • Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training, and performance evaluations
  • Manage the non-conformance reporting process, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years' aerospace related work experience preferred
  • 2+ years of management experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, AS13100, FAA, EASA, ITAR) preferred.
  • Proficient in GD&T and inspection methods and procedures.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, quality assurance skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQM/OE) is preferred.
