Duties

  • Facilitate communication between buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, escrow officers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction progress.
  • Review and verify all transaction documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards such as FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and Fair Housing regulations.
  • Assist with loan origination processes by gathering necessary documentation, coordinating with loan officers, and supporting underwriting procedures.
  • Manage loan processing tasks including credit analysis, TILA (Truth in Lending Act) disclosures, escrow coordination, and mortgage servicing requirements.
  • Track deadlines for contract contingencies, inspections, appraisals, and funding to ensure timely closing.
  • Prepare and review contracts, disclosures, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
  • Maintain detailed records using 10-key typing skills and basic math to process financial data accurately.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (or another second language), with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Prior experience in real estate transaction coordination or related roles such as loan officer experience or mortgage servicing is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of FNMA guidelines, underwriting processes, loan origination procedures, and Fair Housing regulations.
  • Knowledge of mortgage-related concepts including credit analysis, escrow procedures, TILA disclosures, contracts law, banking practices, and basic math skills.
  • Familiarity with loan processing systems and mortgage documentation requirements.
  • Ability to perform detailed reviews of contracts and financial data accurately using 10-key typing and math skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
