Overview

As a BICSI Technician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, termination, testing, and maintenance of information and communications technology (ICT) cabling systems within commercial building structures. Your expertise in copper cabling, including Cat5e and Cat6, will contribute to the success of our projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.

HCI Systems Inc. is a licensed C-7, C-10 and C-16 low voltage systems integration contractor offering a full spectrum of services including sales, engineering, installation, service, and maintenance with over 600 employees in our seven branches. We offer fire life safety, fire suppression, fire sprinkler, access control, video management, intrusion detection, structured cable, nurse call and other related electronic detection solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Install and terminate copper cables for voice, data, and video applications.
  • Conduct assessments and surveys to determine cabling requirements.
  • Pull, route, and secure cables.
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting on copper cabling systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of job site activities.
  • Collaborate with project teams, including Sales, Design, and Engineering.
Qualifications
  • BICSI Certification (Level 2 preferred).
  • Proficiency in using hand tools for cable installation.
  • Strong knowledge of CBC, CFC, CMC, CEC/NEC, and relevant codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Familiarity with low-voltage systems and associated technologies.

  • Technical competence in ICT systems.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
