JOB SUMMARY:

As a "Café Manager," you will be responsible for organizing daily operations and motivating our staff to provide excellent customer service. To be successful in this role, you should have work experience in various coffee shops roles. In addition, you should be available to work during opening hours, including weekends and holidays. Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement, and turn our café into a favorite local spot. As a Crema Gourmet Espresso Bar executive team member, we expect you to lead by example and maintain a positive work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the café
  • Ensure restaurant-café is always staffed by recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new BOH and FOH staff when necessary
  • Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service
  • Handle all serious conversations and corrective actions of every team member
  • Train employees on drinks preparation and proper use of coffee equipment
  • Handle all scheduling shifts between FOH and BOH staff
  • Coordinate with vendors and order supplies as needed (like takeaway cups, coffee, milk, and other ingredients)
  • Maintain updated records of daily, weekly, and monthly revenues and expenses
  • Ensure all food and beverage inventory are being conducted effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Handle and oversee all restaurant-café orders and payments to vendors
  • Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers' preferences (for example, vegan coffee drinks)
  • Ensure all restaurant-café areas are clean and tidy as per company guidelines
  • Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation
  • Ensure staff exceeds customer service expectations by always being available to assist when necessary and provide ongoing training and development when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality is preferred
  • Two or more years of working in a restaurant- café manager role required
  • Hands-on experience with professional coffee machines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent motivational and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operating costs following budgets set
  • Comfortable setting priorities and delegating tasks as needed
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
