We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Radiology Operations Director to oversee the daily operational, administrative, and quality performance of our radiology division.

This role ensures all radiology services—both onsite and teleradiology—are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with clinical, regulatory, and client standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader, strong communicator, and problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Oversee daily operations of radiology services, ensuring timely, high-quality report delivery across all shifts.

Manage scheduling, staffing, and workload distribution for radiologists and support teams.

Coordinate onboarding and credentialing of new radiologists and facilities with HR and Credentialing departments.

Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive consistency and efficiency.

Monitor and maintain turnaround time (TAT), coverage compliance, and client service level expectations.

Quality & Compliance

Partner with the Clinical Standards / Quality Committee to support ongoing peer review and quality improvement initiatives.

Track and resolve discrepancies, incident reports, and quality metrics.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, ACR, and all regulatory standards.

Collaborate with IT to maintain reliable, secure PACS/RIS system performance.

Client & Radiologist Relations

Serve as the primary operational contact for hospital and imaging center clients.

Address service issues and coordinate timely resolutions in partnership with Account Management.

Support business development and client retention through exceptional operational execution.

Maintain strong communication and engagement with radiologists to ensure schedule alignment and satisfaction.

Performance Management & Reporting

Prepare and analyze operational reports, including TAT, volume, productivity, and quality trends.

Identify inefficiencies and lead process improvements for resource and workflow optimization.

Collaborate with Finance to manage departmental budgets, costs, and staffing levels.

Strategic Initiatives

Partner with leadership to expand into new facilities, states, and service lines.

Lead projects focused on automation, AI integration, and workflow optimization.

Drive scalability and growth through implementation of best practices in operations and technology.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).

Experience: 7+ years of progressive leadership in radiology operations, imaging management, or teleradiology services.

Strong knowledge of PACS/RIS systems, credentialing workflows, and compliance standards.

Proven success managing teams and processes in a high-volume healthcare environment.

Exceptional communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Experience collaborating with radiologists, hospitals, and imaging centers preferred.
