The Admissions Director at the Orlando School of Nursing is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the admissions process and ensuring the recruitment and enrollment of qualified and diverse students into the healthcare programs. The Admissions Director plays a vital role in developing and implementing effective strategies to attract prospective students, evaluating applications, and managing the admissions team. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of nursing & healthcare education student recruitment, and a commitment to student success.

Responsibilities:

• Admissions Strategy and Planning:
• Develop and implement comprehensive admissions strategies and recruitment plans to attract a diverse pool of qualified students.
• Analyze market trends, competitor institutions, and demographic data to inform recruitment efforts.
• Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create effective marketing materials, campaigns, and online presence.
• Establish and maintain relationships with high schools, colleges, community organizations, and other potential sources of prospective students.
• Application and Selection Process:
• Oversee the admissions process, ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and evaluate admission criteria and standards in alignment with accreditation and program requirements.
• Review and assess applications, transcripts, and supporting documents to determine eligibility and admission decisions.
• Coordinate interviews, assessments, and other selection activities as necessary.
• Communicate admission decisions to applicants in a timely and professional manner.
• Student Outreach and Support:
• Provide guidance and support to prospective students throughout the admissions process.
• Conduct information sessions, campus tours, and outreach events to promote the programs and answer inquiries from prospective students and their families.
• Collaborate with academic and finance departments to facilitate a smooth transition from admission to enrollment.
• Assist students in understanding program requirements, prerequisite courses, and financial assistance options.
• Admissions Team Management:
• Lead and supervise the admissions team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that supports teamwork, professional growth, and exceptional customer service.
• Ensure the effective use of admissions software and systems for application tracking, document management, and reporting.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as finance, registrar, and academics to facilitate the enrollment process.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Collect, analyze, and interpret admissions data to identify trends, evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, and inform decision-making.
• Prepare regular reports on admissions statistics, enrollment projections, and applicant demographics for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred).
• 5 years or more of experience in admissions or enrollment management, preferably in a healthcare or nursing education setting.
• Strong knowledge of admissions processes, recruitment strategies, and enrollment management best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and communicate effectively with prospective students and families.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in admissions software and systems.
• Supervisory experience, including team management and development.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
