Paint Retail Specialist & Route Delivery Driver

A day in the life

You start the morning as the doors open at 7:00 a.m., welcoming contractors and homeowners and helping them pinpoint the right coatings and supplies. You mix and tint paint to precise specs, ring up orders on the point-of-sale, and keep the aisles stocked and the store tidy. Midday, you load the PPG company vehicle with matched products, verify items against customer paperwork, and head out to job sites—residential driveways, bustling construction zones, local businesses, and contractor warehouses.

On the road, you use vehicle technology to navigate and document deliveries, complete delivery paperwork promptly, and keep the vehicle clean and organized. Back at the store, you lend a hand unloading trucks, restocking, and assisting the next customer who needs a color solution. Throughout the day, you uphold PPG's high service standards—resolving issues with professionalism and care—and you wear the required protective gear for specific tasks after completing mandatory safety training. You report directly to the Store Manager, who supports your growth and development.

Schedule
  • Monday–Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed
What you'll do
  • Provide in-store customer support; mix and tint paint; recommend add-on products; stock and face shelves; assist with loading/unloading; maintain a clean store.
  • Greet customers, identify needs, offer solutions, and process transactions using the POS system.
  • Deliver paint and supplies to retail and wholesale customers and job sites using a PPG company vehicle.
  • Accurately load/unload and match products to customer paperwork for each stop.
  • Complete delivery paperwork promptly, leverage vehicle technology, and keep the vehicle clean.
  • Maintain PPG service standards in-store and on the road; resolve customer issues.
  • Complete required safety training and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Report to the Store Manager.
What you'll bring
  • Age 18 or older.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license in your current state of residence with an acceptable driving record; ability to maintain a record that meets company insurance and safety standards.
  • Customer service mindset, team orientation, and a stable job history.
  • Flexibility to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and possible overtime.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and regularly lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and periodically up to 80 lbs.
