IT Specialist

eMetric is a San Antonio based technology platforms provider for K-12 education seeking an IT Specialist. The IT Specialist will be responsible for company security compliance and providing support to internal employees and external clients. Responsibilities

• Implement company security compliance policies and procedures.
• Assist with compliance audits and reporting.
• Provide event monitoring, analysis, and incident response for alerts and events.
• Monitor dashboards to proactively resolve or escalate issues as needed.
• Provide support to clients and internal employees with professionalism and integrity.
• Troubleshoot simple to complex issues reported by clients and internal employees. Work with other departments as needed to solve issues in a timely and precise manner.
• Serve as an escalation for the Client Support team to solve complex on-field issues in high stakes testing environment.
• Perform various cloud administration tasks in Azure.
• Assist in managing eMetric's MDM solution to manage all devices.
• Perform various System and Network Administration tasks as needed.
• Perform essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware

Qualifications

• Excellent problem-solving skills and can-do positive attitude focused on impact and deliverables.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies. Azure preferred.
• Knowledge of M365 app suite.
• Experience in providing support to external or internal stakeholders.
• Knowledge of common network protocols and troubleshooting.
• Intermediate knowledge of Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of VPN technologies.
• Knowledge and basic troubleshooting of common protocols such as DNS, HTTPS, SSL, TCP/IP
• Basic knowledge of network subnetting and network segmentation.
• Knowledge of firewall technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Sonicwall, Azure Firewall.
• Basic IDS/IPS knowledge.
• Knowledge of Mobile Device Management solutions such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Background check required
• This is a Hybrid position in San Antonio, TX. Team members are required to be in-office at least once per week.
